Stephanie Knapp is a writer living in New Orleans. She was born and raised in the Missouri Ozarks, and has always loved stories. Reed College and Pratt Institute helped her pursue training in the narrative arts.
Her films have been screened in Missouri, New York, and California, and her photos exhibited in Missouri and California. Recently, Stephanie has been a resident at Hambidge and a finalist and semi-finalist in the Wisdom-Faulkner writing competition. Her work has been featured in neutrons/protons, Infection House, and the American Writer’s Review. She is a member of the Peauxdunque Writer’s Alliance.
If you’re feeling fancy you could call her a francophone, turophile, or Kieslowski aficionado… on other days she’ll respond to “Hillbilly Socialist.” When not teaching in the French schools or writing, she makes desserts, does yoga, and will lose entire days in the darkroom if unattended.
